Since finishing with Aviva I have been busy working with Whitby Park Community Garden which has been around in Ellesmere Port for over 20 years mainly due to hard work and dedication of George Jones.
In talking to George over the last couple of months it is a breath of fresh air and a comfort to know that talking about a persons life and more importantly the future is critical to understanding how to prepare one's self for what comes next aka. death.
Well without drawing deeper on this subject the positive point is to understand how to plan and critically make plans to create a legacy for future generations.
Over the last few weeks I have managed to turn a volunteer group into an emerging charity with a number of other passionate people including George and myself.
In summary, we have created a legally compliant constitution, submitted an application to the Charity Commission and have started drafting mandatory process, procedures and volunteer agreements along with a number of other documents.
Going into 2020 I am looking forward to a bright future and are expecting to get further success with funding applications which we have also been submitted to various funding pots including the National Lottery 25.
